Cafe Tu Tu Tango

I escaped from the dreariness and cold to Orlando for a few days.  While I was there I ate at Cafe Tu Tu Tango.  What a delightful, quirky little place.  It fashions itself after a bohemian lifestyle that views life as a grand celebration, a feast of the senses to be shared and treasured. www.cafetututango.com

My dining partner, a new friend, and I shared the most interesting combination of foods presented to us in such an artful way.  The walls were covered with original artwork and there were several artists working on their canvases throughout the restaurant.  Toward the end of the meal, the festivity increased as a flamenco dancer and a belly dancer created a different kind of art through music.

The website states, “Something in the soul stirs, awakening the senses, igniting a passion for living that exists within us all.  You are not here to eat, you are here to delight. To revel. To savor life, friends and family…”

“For we are God’s workmanship (poem, masterpiece), created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”  Ephesians 2:10
It seems God was artistic when He created us. His creation is a reflection of His brilliant artistry.  So my charge to you today is:

  1. Be aware of something that is stirring in your soul. What have you denied or set aside or kept hidden that is yearning to emerge?  Okay, now I love the art form of dance and I actually used to do some professional dancing - yes, jazz type dancing on stage!  And my soul still stirs to dance, however, now I dance as part of my workout, or to praise music, or when my daughter and I are painting and put on Ricky Martin!   watch?v=t_33A_ncENs I also feel a stirring to share important messages with others.  The message will swell within and finally must be “birthed” in the form of a workshop or speaking topic.  What is stirring within you?  As your Coach, I give you permission to express it.
  2. Pay attention to what is awakening your senses. Don’t you love to hear children laugh?  Allow the sound of laughter to awaken your joy.  Be attentive to the surprises of life events throughout the day rather than numbing yourself to them.  Hear the assorted songs of the birds.  Smell the aromas before you eat.  Feel the fabrics of your clothes and define them: soft, silky, coarse, fuzzy
  3. Ignite the passion of living that exists within you. Be alive.  Decide to live vitally.  Choose to focus on the zest of living.  BE the poem, the masterpiece that God created you to be and surrender the disappointments, frustrations, and failures.  Grieve, cry, scream, then relinquish the pain and make space for the vital living the Creator designed for you.

Discover the artistry of life.  See God’s patterns around you and within you.  Celebrate life.  Remember, you are here to delight, to revel, to savor life, friends and family.  And, if you are ever in Orlando, experience Cafe Tu Tu Tango and the festivity that inspires the artist within.

Well Written miss Betsy. I sure miss spending time with you and SOMETIME when I get back down there…we’ll have coffee…..and maybe DANCE!

Ignite the senses: to share: God has BLESSED me tremendously….last week, excited to be running outside instead on the treadmill, I ran around a little lake/pond in my area. Coming up to a woodsy area…lots of crows flying…Oh my lions and tigers and bears….but no…upon closer look, oh my an eagle!
no 2 eagles….no……and YES, I stopped running and looked all around….a huge smile on my face…I counted at least 20 bald eagles! What a blessing! After enjoying the swooping and gliding , I continued to run, with a big smile on my face. Everyone I passed by I said excitedly “Did you see the eagles?” Sorrowfully, not many had noticed.
God’s blessings are all around us, we need to open our eyes to see them. Even more than that, when we see a blessing, are we sharing it? Sometimes God uses us to
point out the blessing to a friend or loved one…
I called my husband from a phone, ran home to get him and we came back with the camera.
What a majestic bird, what a beautiful day!

When the ice began to melt off the trees from the previous winter storm, it looked like gold sparkling lights on all of the trees. They were jewels from God.
When my friend, Margo and I went for a walk, everything seemed so quiet and it looked like Narnia. It was beautiful!!!
